AME SŒUR was founded in France in 2018 — and returns today around one idea: identity is not a border.
We grew up between languages, between countries, between what we were told to be and what we actually are. AME SŒUR — "kindred spirit" — is the name we gave to that in-between space: the recognition that someone on the other side of the world, speaking a language you don't understand, can still be exactly like you underneath.
That's where PAREIL MAIS DIFFÉRENT comes from. Same but different. Not a slogan — a description. Twelve languages, one sentence, one meaning. 195 nations, one soul.
Every piece we make carries that idea quietly: minimal by design, considered in construction, meant to last longer than a season. This is more than clothing. It's a higher form of belonging.
